More about us

So you want to know more info on our breed:
The Chihuahua is possibly one of the cutest breeds(yep), small enough to be considered a pocket pet. They make excellent lap dogs and are great with children(good kids only!:). However, with small children we always recommend supervision because of this breeds small size. Because they never weigh more than 5 or 6 pounds and are from 6-9 inches high, they are an excellent choice for apartments or condos. They come in two coat types including long coat(Pinky) and short coat(Lola). There are many variations to their coloring but light tan is the most common. A favorite quality of the little Chihuahua is their "large" personality. Their small size does not deter them from thinking they own the world(Cause I'm a Boss!)! They are very friendly(right Kat?), playful and love attention. They love to play games and play with toys. They do not require an exercise regiment but do benefit from a walk at least once per week. The Chihuahua does not require any special diets, however, they are known for being finicky. (Their will is often stronger than their owners)(but not this one). Be sure that you choose a high quality food with small kibble for smaller breeds. We recommend trying a lamb and rice diet which is considered an allergy free diet. (we eat Beneful) Some smaller breed dogs are susceptible to skin problems related to allergies. Short haired Chihuahuas require less grooming than the long haired Chihuahua but both should be brushed at least once per week. This helps distribute the oils in the skin to keep skin and coat healthy. Bathing should be kept to a minimum to reduce skin irritations. check out http://www.petinfo4u.com/ for more info!

Hold it

Pinky: Is she up yet?

Lola: No and neither am I, go back to sleep.

Pinky: But I think I need to go
Lola: Just hold it for another 30 min. I'll get up then and jump on her stomach.
Pinky: She's just gonna turn over and ignore you.
Lola: No way, I'm not totally "p.trained" yet and she loves me more than you , so she'll get up. Pinky: Humph whatever bit**!

Beyond the zone

Not too much excitement for us today, our a.m. p&p and some alone time while our owner works it out with the earnings. We watched the BET awards tonight and loved the Prince, Stevie Wonder, India.Aire and Yolanda Adams' tribute to Chaka Khan!(chaka-chaka khan). We also listened to our owner read a selection from a great book that was just received.
It's "Beyond the Zone" by Norris Williams II...

To My Wealthy Place DEU 8:1-20 I'm on my way To my wealthy place Don't expect me to ever look back My treasure is near So I must make it clear God has placed my wheels on the right tract Now you can't stop this train It has wealth on its brain I advise you to move out of its way Won't have peace in my soul Until I reach my goal God said seek, you shall find it someday Now when I get there God says I must share Be a blessing to all those around It's not trying to impress It's just giving God's best Lifting friends up when they appear down

Hoodwinked

Today was a typical Monday.
We started off our morning with a P&P stroll, ran back upstairs and went into our room. This day we were given a treat to help us with our oral fixation, the ever popular rawhide(everybody say Yee Ha!). For most of the day we've been chillaxin, listening to one of our favorite radio stations, Smooth Jazz(yes we are sophisticated pups:), and munching on some delictable delights(beneful). Later on in the evening we played our favorite game of fetch with our owner, watched hoodwinked had some popcorn and fell asleep.

Car wash

Sunday 06/25/06 was an excellent day!
We woke up, had our morning stroll to P&P(that's pee and poop to y'all). Ran back upstairs and went into our room to relax again. We do this for about 2 hours til our owner returns from service. When she got home we were so excited! We just knew something fun was going to happen. Much to our surprise we were able to go around the corner and play like dora the explorer. While our owner cleaned and polished her whip, we sniffed and ran and frolicked in the sun. We even got to have a frozen drink to cool ourselves in this Texas heat. After about an hour we were done. We went back home and relaxed a little more. WhataSunday! Just like we like it! Woof~

Welcome

Welcome all to The adventures of Pinky & Lola.
We are chihuahuas.
I am Pinky

It's me Lola

Pinky is a long-haired male, Lola a short-haired female. Pinky is the oldest, 3 yrs, while Lola is only 1 yr. We met each other last year in 2005 when our owner decided to give me a female companion. I guess she felt guilty leaving me all alone while she was out working, shopping or partying! Being as active as we are, we have many tails to tell:) Our owner will be documenting all the fun we have living our pampered lives in this great state of Texas. Hope ya'll enjoy! Woof~
